Vermeer Midwest Makes NASCAR Cup Series Debut with Zane Smith at the Chicago Street Race

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, Vermeer Midwest proudly made its NASCAR Cup Series debut as a primary sponsor with Zane Smith and Front Row Motorsports at the Grant Park 165 in Chicago. The event, held on the iconic 2.2-mile Chicago Street Course, marked the 21st race of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season and was broadcast nationally on TNT, MRN, and SiriusXM channel 90.

Smith piloted the No. 38 Ford Mustang through the 75-lap event, making his second career start on the Chicago street circuit and his first with crew chief Ryan Bergenty and the No. 38 team. The race was a significant moment for both driver and sponsor, as Vermeer Midwest joined the NASCAR stage for the first time.

Founded in 1971 by Junior and Bev Kool in Eureka, Illinois, Vermeer Midwest has grown into a trusted leader in industrial equipment, serving contractors across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Missouri. With 13 locations and a strong reputation for excellent customer service, the company supports various industries, including utility installation, landscaping, tree care, recycling, and vacuum excavation.

“Partnering with Zane Smith and the Front Row Motorsports crew gave us an incredible platform to connect with our team members and customers,” said Trey Hemming, General Manager of the Vermeer Midwest Aurora location. “Their dedication on the track reflected the same commitment we bring to our customers every day. We were proud to support a team that shares our culture of excellence and grit.”

Smith shared in the excitement, saying, “It was awesome to have Vermeer Midwest on board in Chicago. The energy and enthusiasm they brought to the partnership was incredible, and there aren’t many better races to make your debut than the Chicago Street Race.”

Front Row Motorsports (FRM), founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Bob Jenkins, is a championship-winning organization in both the NASCAR Cup and Craftsman Truck Series. With victories including the 2021 Daytona 500 and the 2022 Truck Series championship, FRM fields multiple competitive entries from its headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina.

The debut of Vermeer Midwest at the Chicago Street Race was a celebration of shared values—performance, reliability, and a commitment to excellence—on and off the track.
